1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Sanad+ mobile application (the "Service"), you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"), whether or not you are a registered user of our Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on our website or through in-app notifications. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

2. Description of Service

Sanad+ is a mobile application designed as a prayer tracking and donation accountability tool for Muslims.

  • Core Features: The Service provides prayer time calculations, prayer tracking functionality, and prayer reminder notifications.
  • Additional Features: It also includes an impact token system, donation tracking features, and analytics to help users improve their religious practice.
  • Platforms: Sanad+ is available as mobile applications for iOS and Android devices.

3. User Accounts and Registration

3.1 Account Creation

  • Registration Methods: You can create an account using your email and password, Google Sign-In, or by opting for an anonymous account.
  • Account Requirements: You agree to provide a valid email address and create a secure password for email-based accounts.
  • Profile Information: You may provide optional profile information such as gender, timezone, and language preferences.
  • Account Verification: Email verification may be required for certain account types for security purposes.

3.2 Account Responsibilities

  • Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and for all activities that occur under your account.
  • Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep it updated.
  • Sole Use: Your account is for personal use only. You may not share your account credentials or allow others to use your account.
  • Notification: You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to or use of your account.

3.3 Account Termination

  • User Termination: You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.
  • Service Termination: We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms.
  • Data Retention: After account deletion, there is a 30-day grace period for account recovery.
  • Data Deletion: Permanent deletion of associated data will occur after the grace period.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

4.1 Permitted Uses

  • Personal Use: The app is intended for individual prayer tracking and accountability.
  • Religious Practice: The Service is designed to support and enhance Islamic prayer practices.
  • Community Features: You may engage with community features appropriately and respectfully.
  • Donation System: You may make legitimate donations through the platform.

4.2 Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms, including:

  • Misuse: Using the app for non-religious purposes or in any way that is not intended.
  • Data Manipulation: Falsifying prayer completion data or any other information within the app.
  • Spam: Sending unsolicited messages or notifications through any app features.
  • Harassment: Harassing, abusing, or harming other users or community members.
  • Illegal Activities: Using the app for any illegal activities or to promote illegal acts.

4.3 Religious Respect

  • Islamic Values: You agree to respect Islamic principles and values while using the app.
  • Community Guidelines: You must adhere to any community guidelines established for the Service.
  • Appropriate Content: You are responsible for maintaining appropriate content and behavior in any user-generated sections of the app.

5. Prayer Tracking and Data

5.1 Prayer Data Accuracy

  • User Responsibility: You are solely responsible for accurately logging your prayer completion data.
  • Location Accuracy: Location data is used for prayer time calculations, and its accuracy depends on your device's GPS and network.
  • Time Zone: The app uses automatic timezone detection for accurate prayer times.
  • Manual Adjustments: You may manually adjust prayer times within the app if needed.

5.2 Data Ownership

  • User Data: You retain ownership of your prayer and personal data.
  • Usage Rights: You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use anonymized and aggregated data for the purpose of improving the Service.
  • Data Export: (Feature planned) You will have the ability to export your data.
  • Data Portability: (Planned) We aim to support data transfer to other services in the future.

5.3 Data Privacy

  • Confidentiality: Your prayer data is treated as confidential.
  • Religious Sensitivity: We acknowledge the religious sensitivity of the data collected and handle it with utmost care and respect.
  • Limited Sharing: Data is not shared with third parties except as specified in our Privacy Policy or with your explicit consent.
  • Consent: We will obtain explicit consent for any data sharing beyond what is necessary for core service functionality.

6. Impact Token System

6.1 Token Mechanics

  • Virtual Currency: Impact tokens are virtual, non-monetary tokens within the app. They have no real-world monetary value and cannot be redeemed for cash or other goods or services outside of the app.
  • Earning Tokens: Tokens are earned through prayer completion and adherence to specific in-app activities.
  • Losing Tokens: Tokens may be deducted for missed prayers or other in-app actions.
  • Token Value: Tokens are purely for gamification and motivation within the app and have no real-world monetary value.

6.2 Token Rules

  • Fair Use: Tokens must be earned through legitimate prayer tracking and app usage.
  • No Manipulation: Users may not manipulate token earning mechanisms or exploit system vulnerabilities.
  • System Integrity: We reserve the right to modify or terminate the token system at any time to maintain its integrity.
  • Token Expiration: Tokens may expire based on system rules, which will be communicated within the app.

6.3 Token Purchases

  • Donation-Based: Token purchases support charitable causes. Payments for tokens are processed through the respective app store's in-app purchase mechanisms (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play Store). The funds received by MK Builds LLC from these purchases, after deduction of applicable app store fees and general administrative fees, will be donated to selected charities as tokens are deducted through app usage. Please note that these donations are made by MK Builds LLC to the selected charities and are not attributed to individual users by name.
  • Transparency: Clear disclosure of donation recipients will be provided.
  • Receipts: Receipts for your token purchases will be provided.
  • Refund Policy: A separate refund policy will apply to token purchases, details of which will be provided within the app.
  • Tax Deductibility: Please note that, for the time being, donations made through token purchases are generally not tax-deductible for the user. Users are responsible for consulting with a tax professional regarding their individual tax situation.

7. Donation System

7.1 Donation Processing

  • Payment Processing: All payments for token purchases, which fund donations, are processed via in-app purchase mechanisms provided by Apple and Google.
  • Donation Recipients: Charitable organizations and causes will be specified as recipients.
  • Transparency: Clear disclosure of donation recipients will be provided within the app.
  • Receipts: Automatic donation receipts will be provided for your records.

7.2 Donation Policies

  • Voluntary: All donations are entirely voluntary.
  • Refund Policy: A refund policy for donation errors will be in place. Details will be provided within the app.
  • Tax Deductibility: Users are responsible for understanding the tax implications of their donations. As noted in Section 6.3, donations through token purchases are generally not tax-deductible for the user.
  • Donation Tracking: We aim to provide transparent tracking of how donations are utilized.

7.3 Donation Accountability

  • Prayer-Based: Donations may be linked to prayer completion or other in-app activities to encourage consistent practice.
  • Transparency: Clear reporting on donation distribution and impact will be provided. This reporting will reflect the aggregate contributions from the Sanad+ community, as donations are made by MK Builds LLC to the charities, not directly in individual users' names.
  • Impact Reporting: We will provide regular reports on the impact of donations.
  • User Control: Users will have control over donation amounts and frequency.

8. Notifications and Communications

8.1 Prayer Reminders

  • Scheduled Notifications: The app provides scheduled prayer time reminders.
  • Customization: User control over notification settings.
  • Quiet Hours: Respect for quiet hours and user preferences.
  • Opt-out: Users may opt out of prayer reminders and other notifications at any time through their device or app settings.

8.2 App Communications

  • Service Updates: Important service announcements.
  • Feature Notifications: New feature announcements.
  • Security Alerts: Security-related communications.
  • Marketing: Optional marketing communications.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 App Ownership

  • App Rights: The Sanad+ app, its content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of MK Builds LLC and its licensors.
  • User Content: Users retain rights to their prayer data.
  • License: Limited license to use the app.
  • Restrictions: No reverse engineering or modification.

9.2 User Content

  • Prayer Data: Users own their prayer completion data.
  • Profile Information: Users control their profile information.
  • Community Content: Community guidelines for shared content.
  • Removal Rights: Service may remove inappropriate content.

10. Disclaimers and Limitations

10.1 Service Availability

  • No Guarantee: No guarantee of uninterrupted service.
  • Maintenance: Scheduled maintenance may affect availability.
  • Third-Party Dependencies: Service depends on third-party APIs.
  • Force Majeure: Service may be affected by circumstances beyond control.

10.2 Prayer Time Accuracy

  • Best Effort: Prayer times calculated using best available methods.
  • Location Dependency: Accuracy depends on user location.
  • Manual Verification: Users should verify prayer times independently.
  • No Liability: No liability for prayer time inaccuracies.

10.3 Religious Guidance

  • Not Religious Authority: App is not a religious authority.
  • Personal Responsibility: Users responsible for religious decisions.
  • Consultation: Users should consult religious authorities when needed.
  • Cultural Variations: App may not accommodate all cultural practices.

11. Limitation of Liability

11.1 General Limitations

  • Maximum Liability: Limited to amount paid for service.
  • Indirect Damages: No liability for indirect or consequential damages.
  • Religious Practice: No liability for religious practice decisions.
  • Data Loss: No liability for data loss or corruption.
